19A-Idea Napking #2

1) You.
I am a college student who was always had an eye for business and entrepreneurship. I am very skilled and a quick learner in any subject I put my mind into. My aspirations are to create a reliable and sustainable business that truly cares about their customers, with constant feedback and a good team my services can be launched.

2)What are you offering to customers

My business idea consists of providing custom service for devices. This means setting up simple things like the printer, all the way towards full smart home customization. Relieving people from the stress of having to know these technicalities.

3) Who are you offering it to?

I am offering this business to mostly older generations, people with kids and grandkids. These people do not understand very well the way technology works. People who do not have time or would rather have the convenience of it would benefit from this service as well

4) Why do they care?

My customers have yet to find a solution for this problems, many times there is no one there to help them. In providing this kinds of services their need are being met, they can contact family members, work and distract themselves with any new device they might have at home.

5) What are your core competencies?

My core competencies for this service relies on the personal level of service, each customer has a specific task in which we can send the appropriate technician. The technicians are certified in different levels according to skills need.

I believe all these element fit together into my personality and how to approach the problem. The elements  contribute together to describe and portray my business idea and how it can benefit the prototypical customer I am trying to reach

Feedback memo
The feedback I received was great and constructive, they like the idea of my customer base, but felt that I needed to elaborate a little more on how the service should work. I have added this in my  core competencies, by having different level technicians we can assist the customer appropriately.

17A- Elevator Pitch No.2

Elevator Pitch

1) The pitch! https://youtu.be/T8TqdnwuHVM

2) For my first elevator pitch the most feedback received was that I was not looking at the camera constantly, another person pointed out that I was not standing straight, it was definitively an experience. The most useful feedback was how to smile more and look towards the camera.

3) After my feedback, I was more relaxed and confident. The feedback that helped me as well was to stand to not look down as often I think I got better.

18A – Create a Customer Avatar

Prototypical customer
My typical customer would be someone of an older age around 36-73 years of age, it is someone who likes technology and all the advances it brings alongside it. This customer usually has children and maybe grandkids, this is how they end up with pieces of technology that they barely understand but love to use. This person enjoys playing candy crush, poker, cards, and a good book. Someone who is more relaxed with life, but simply wants to keep in touch.

I can relate well with this avatar because I can put myself in their shoes in a couple of years. Technology has advanced so fast that it is easy to get distracted and soon not know anything about it. It is very true that we might all get to a point that we might get easily frustrated with technology and need some assistance.

15A – Figuring Out Buyer Behavior #2

Figuring Out Buyer Behavior

Interview 1: Carla a young student I interviewed has communicated with me that when she stumbles on a problem she quickly searches for a solution online or with peers. She argues about the lack of products or services that she encounters while trying to "Fix" her devices. Price is something on top of her list when it comes to "repairs" then the quality of the service. When I asked about the quality of the service she has told me some people are rude, others have erased her whole device without her consent. For her purchases, she told me it is almost all the time using a card or online. Her argument was that she purchased products/services based on online reviews and critiques. Her post-purchase valuations are based on service reviews on helpful websites like yelp or google. Carla has told me that a good price and good feedback affect her decision making into being a repeat customer of any service or product.

Interview 2: Janna a manager at my workplace, in charge of purchasing supplies and reaching out to services at work. When asked about the alternatives she says she either calls her husband to help her or requests help from staff. Her argument is based on the lack of need for such service, she told me that only a handful of times she has she taken her devices to get repaired when she did the job was not done properly. When evaluating her purchases/services she bases her decision on time, price and overall experience after receiving the service/ product.

Interview 3: Mauricio a 24y/o student, very introverted. He argues that he usually does not have the time for fixing defective devices. his alternative evaluation consists of the reliability of the service to complete the work, minding the quality of such service. He tells me that he is usually extremely busy and has resorted to buying new devices in the midst of the previous ones braking or being defective. He finances these new purchases, he told me he is a bit bothered by the process but there are not many good places to fix things now. When receiving a service or purchase what matters most to him is the availability of the specific product, price, and reviews.

In conclusion, the buyer behavior process is easy on deciding whether to fix or replace a device, most people opt to fix the devices because of the data and information they contain, but have told me that they sometimes ultimately purchase a new device due to their "short" life span. Good reviews, price point, and convenience was a common factor in these interviews.
